Its Time For Eric Adams To Step Up And Make New York City Safe

Following the stabbing spree that took the lives of three New Yorkers on Monday, the criminal justice system of New York City is once again being called into question. The alleged attacker, Ramon Rivera, has had multiple run ins with the police over the last twelve months and has spent time behind bars for burglary and assault charges. Retired NYPD Detective Michael Sapraicone joined the WOR Morning Show to talk about the deadly attacks and what Mayor Eric Adams needs to do to make his city safe.

“He needs to go to the city council and push and push and push and be relentless for this,” Sapraicone told host Larry Mendte. “He needs to go to the governor and say look at what’s going on here, the citizens aren’t safe.”

Sapraicone believes the time for condolences from Adams are over and that its time to step up: “I think his heart and soul are in the right place, but actions speak louder than words.”
