As Mayor Adams faces federal bribery and fraud charges, Governor Kathy Hochul is sending a message to him about the need to clean house in his administration.
"I'm just letting him know that we're monitoring the situation," Hochul said.
In addition to the 5-count indictment that Adams is facing, a number of aides and advisers have had their homes raided and their phones seized. Multiple staffers have already announced their resignation or their plans to step down.
"I'm working to make sure that they key positions, working with the mayor, are filled with people that are going to be responsible," Hochul said.
