Democratic Voters Show Confidence In The Harris-Walz Ticket

Len Berman and Michael Riedel talked with ABC News Political Analyst Steve Roberts, about the Harris-Walz ticket taking the lead in some battleground states and national polls.

Roberts broke down the numbers, and they showed Kamala Harris and running mate Tim Walz making up serious ground on Trump and Vance. Only 60% of Democratic swing state voters were happy with the Biden ticket, but since Harris became the candidate, 87% of those voters are more confident in their party. Democrats worried about Biden's mental acuity have come home since he left the race and are feeling more energized about the election.

Harris and Walz still have work to do. Two-thirds of voters think the country is headed in the wrong direction. Harris has to craft an economic message that proves she can get inflation under control and stabilize the economy for the middle class.
