USA Women Set New World Record In Swimming Relay Final

Team USA set a new world record while winning a gold medal in the women's 4x100-meter medley relay final at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday (August 4).

Team USA -- comprised of Regan Smith, Lily King, Gretchen Walsh and Torri Huske -- finished with a time of 3:49.63, with Australia taking silver at 3:53.11 and China taking bronze at 3:53.23. Huske, Smith and Walsh all won gold together in the mixed 4x100-meter medley final. Huske and Walsh also finished 0.04 seconds apart for gold and silver, respectively, in the women's 100-meter butterfly last Sunday (July 28).

Team USA also took silver in the men's 4x100-meter final with a score of 3:28.01. China won gold with a time of 3:27.46 and France took bronze with a time of 3:28.38.
