The Mets beat the Yankees 12 to 3 in the Bronx on Wednesday night, sweeping the Subway Series this season.
Francisco Lindor homered twice and drove in five runs. The Mets also got home runs from Pete Alonso, Tyrone Taylor and Mark Vientos. Gerrit Cole allowed six runs for the struggling Yankees, who have now lost four of their last five.
This is the first time the Mets have swept the Subway Series in more than a decade.
