Major Meltdown Strands NJ Transit Commuters

New Jersey commuters are bracing on Friday for what the ride into work will be like.

For the second time this week, a meltdown involving New Jersey Transit trains left people stranded on Thursday afternoon. Overhead wire issues led to power problems, meaning commuters in a hurry to get home were left waiting for hours in a sweltering Penn Station looking at a departure board that only said “delayed.”

To make matters worse, a 15 percent fare hike takes effect for New Jersey Transit commuters on July 1st.
