Len Berman and Michael Riedel talked with two New York sports media icons about the passing of MLB legend Willie Mays.
Bill Madden, the New York Daily News major league baseball writer said of Mays, "He was the consummate Five Tool Player. He could hit for average and power; he was fast on the bases, a great defensive outfielder, and had the most accurate throwing arm of any outfielder in the game."
Legendary Sports broadcaster Warner Wolf was the first sportscaster to interview Willie Mays, Duke Snyder, and Mickey Mantle all together on the same television show. "When I asked Mickey Mantle and Duke Snyder who was the best center fielder in all of baseball, both said it was Willie Mays. Willie could be a bit of a showman too, he'd wear a loose cap, so it would dramatically fly off while running the bases or going after a well-hit fly ball." Willie Mays was 93 years old.
