Hempstead Town Supervisor Donald Clavin has been fighting the congestion pricing plan for over a year. Here's what he had to say about Gov. Kathy Hochul suspending the much-maligned plan.
Clavin told Len and Michael, Hochul's suspension of the plan was a ploy. She's seen the polls and knows the Democrats are in trouble. I wouldn't be surprised if the suspension ends right after the 2024 election. We'll take the victory right now, but we all know it's a political gimmick. I'll believe congestion pricing is gone for good when the city removes the plate reading gantries.
