Federal investigators are currently attempting to trace the origin of the fatal dose of ketamine involved in Matthew Perry's death.

According to TMZ, investigators have already "interviewed some key people in Hollywood who are known to have a history of drug use or abuse" in an effort to identify the source. These individuals might not be the culprits, but law enforcement officials believe that they could lead them to the guilty party.

The once shut case was reopened when officials discovered that the ketamine in Perry's system at the time of his death was not associated with the ketamine infusion therapy that he was undergoing to ease symptoms of depression and anxiety in the weeks leading up to his passing.

The Friends alum was found dead at his home in Los Angeles on October 28, 2023. A few months later, the L.A. County Medical Examiner's Office released a toxicology report that confirmed his death to be caused by the "acute effects of ketamine."

Information regarding the names of people being interviewed in suspicion of involvement in distributing ketamine to Perry has yet to be revealed as investigators continue to dig for a source.

No arrests have been made as part of the ongoing investigation.
