Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop dropped his endorsement of Gov. Phil Murphy's wife, Tammy Murphy, who is running for Bob Menendez's Senate seat. Fulop discussed his decision with Len Berman and Michael Riedel.
Fulop, who has never back tracked on an endorsement, said, " I was a day one supporter of Tammy Murphy believing that she could offer something more than just being the Govenor's wife, but her ideas have gotten progressively worse, while her opponent has made compelling arguments on how to help the state as a Senator. Fulop said his endorsement reversal will make things uncomfortable for his relationship with the Murphy's."
