George Santos Running For Congress Again

Former Congressman George Santos wants to return to Washington.

He announced that he's running for Congress again, changing districts to challenge Republican Nick LaLota in the primary.

"I look forward to debating him on the issues and on his weak record as a Republican. The fight for our majority is imperative for the survival of the country," Santos said on social media.

Democrat Tom Suozzi won a special election last month to replace Santos, who was forced out of office because of multiple federal indictments. The former congressman said he was inspired to run again after witnessing President Biden's State of the Union address.

"I just witnessed a weak, frail president deliver spin and lies to the American people from inside the chambers," Santos said.
