With the passing of comic actor Richard Lewis, Len Berman and Michael Riedel invited his 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' co-star Susie Essman to the show to share her favorite memories of her longtime friend.
Essman said, "I first met Ritchie in the late 70's while he was a touring comic. I was just starting my career and was dying to meet Ritchard because he was a crazy man. His comedy was original, and I don't want to sound pollyannish, but he was the sweetest, kindest, most generous guy to be around. On 'Curb' Richard and Larry would take a scene and turn it into a great adlibbed comedy bit. Working with Richard on 'Curb' was the most fun I've had in my career. He was a classic New York comic."
Richard Lewis was 76 years old.
