Former Congressman Tom Suozzi is returning to Washington D.C.
The Democrat has won his old job back, defeating Republican Mazi Pilip in a special election to replace former Congressman George Santos. Suozzi won 54 percent of the vote to claim a seat that was up for grabs after Santos was hit with multiple federal charges and was removed from office.
Suozzi will have to run again in November to hold onto the seat.
