Was the Mother of Michigan School Shooter Negligent?

Len Berman and Michael Riedel talked with Dr. Gail Saltz, a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at NY Presbyterian Hospital about the controversial decision to convict Jennifer Crumbly for manslaughter because her son, Ethan Crumbly shot and killed four of his high school classmates.

Saltz said, "Health is health, if your child presents a serious medical issue that is visible to you, and you fail to take him to a doctor, you are being negligent. The same goes for mental health. If your child comes to you and says I'm afraid, I'm sad, or shows any signs of blatant mental illness, and you don't do anything, you are negligent, and in this case people died."
