The Port Authority announced Thursday that it intends to soon reveal the long-awaited plans to update the outdated Port Authority Bus Terminal at 42nd Street and 8th Avenue. This building would be a significant replacement to the existing terminal, which opened in 1950 and has significantly grown worn-down and shabby in the years since. But when WOR street reporter Natalie Migliore interviewed people at the current terminal judging by the reactions she received, “let’s wait and see” may have been the most cautiously optimistic opinion she heard. Despite inexpensive measures to resolve the static and interference that plague AM radio in electric automobiles, some American car manufacturers insist the easiest course of action is to remove AM radios from their vehicles entirely. This drastic step comes in advance of the move to change America’s new cars sales to all-electric. US Representative Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ 5th) is leading the charge on Capitol Hill to prevent this from happening, and joined Len and Michael this week to outline why AM radio belongs in American cars.
The US Department of Justice released details late last week about a settlement it reached with New York State to resolve claims of sexual harassment against former governor Mario Cuomo. The document contends that the three-term governor, who was forced to resign in disgrace in August of 2021, harassed 13 women. Democrat strategist Melissa DeRosa, who worked in the Cuomo investigation, says the report is full of holes, which she explained during her appearance with Len and Michael this week.
