Closing Arguments Begin At Trump Civil Fraud Trial

Closing arguments got underway on Thursday in Lower Manhattan at the civil fraud trial of former President Donald Trump.

Trump had wanted to help deliver those arguments himself, but attorneys for the former president wouldn't agree to restrictions imposed by the judge. Judge Arthur Engoron said he wanted to ensure that Trump stuck to the case and didn't deliver a campaign speech.

The case was brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James, accusing Trump of inflating the value of his company to get better terms on loans. Trump has maintained his innocence.
