People throughout the area are worried about flooding, after a major rain storm tore through the tri-state area on Tuesday night.

Two inches fell across most of the region, while the rainfall was even more significant in some isolated locations. That's led to major worries in places like northern New Jersey, which often deals with flooding issues because of the Passaic River. The river isn't expected to crest until Friday morning, meaning the flooding concerns will be residents of the area for days.

Wind gusts topped 60 miles per hour in Queens and Long Island, leading to thousands of power outages. As of Wednesday morning, JCP&L in New Jersey had the biggest issues with more than 35,000 outages.

Delays and cancelations were also being reported at the three area airports. The biggest problems were on arriving flights, after more than 1,000 flights were canceled on Tuesday because of bad weather around the country.
