LifeVac Device Saves People in Choking Emergencies

Len Berman and Michael Riedel interviewed the Founder and CEO of LifeVac, Arthur Lih. LifeVac is a non-powered, non-invasive device that can save people in emergency choking situations. Lih said he got the idea for LifeVac after hearing about a woman devastated by the death of her son after the Heimlich maneuver failed to remove a grape stuck in the child's throat. Lih told the guys LifeVac is so easy to use a person can save themself. Lih's design, uses a patented one-way valve that does not allow any air to enter the choking victim on the downward motion, stopping the object from being pushed downward, this creates a one-way suction that removes the lodged food or object. Lih said he'd like to see a LifeVac in every school and restaurant in the country. LifeVac has saved over 100 people.
