MTA's Congestion Pricing is a Tax in Disguise

Len Berman and Michael Riedel talked with Joe Borelli, the Minority NYC Councilman and Rep. of Staten Island's 51st District about congestion pricing. Joe and the guys discussed the MTA's congestion pricing being nothing more than another tax for the tri-state commuters. Joe said he saw an interview with John Samuelsen, the President of the Transportation Workers Union, whose job it is to make as much money as possible for his workers say, "The idea of congestion pricing is the biggest piece of garbage I've ever seen." Borelli and the guys also are worried that the money collected from congestion pricing is just another large amount of cash the MTA has control of without any oversight. Congestion pricing is due to start in May of 2024.
