Menendez Indictment Could Change the Balance of Power

Len Berman and Michael Riedel talked with Award-Winning Journalist Mike Kelly from northjersey.com and The Record about the indictment of NJ Sen. Bob Menendez and his wife Nadine on federal corruption charges. Investigators found gold bars worth $150,000, over $500,000 in cash, and a new Mercedes in the New Jersey Democrats home after a yearlong investigation. The Menendez indictment claims the senator took bribes from three businessmen, and the country Egypt. Kelly told Len and Michael the Democrats have a problem if Menendez gets nominated for office next year because he will have to run without the support of Governor Kathy Hochul and other high-powered Democratic players that have asked him to resign. Kelly said the Menendez indictment is a golden opportunity for Republicans to gain a seat and change the balance of power in Congress. Sen. Menendez tells the media he plans on running again despite the indictment.
