Joe Bartlett delivered the headlines to WORās listeners for 37 years before riding off into the sunset on May 31st. But the valued WOR alum still has legions of fans in the audience who are wondering how the respected newsman is doing. Bartlett made an appearance on 710 WORās Len Berman and Michael Riedel in the Morning program to get everyone up to speed on his new routine (hint: lots of sleeping past 5am!) and, in homage to the good-old days, needle Len and Michael about the people making the news.
āI missed all of you,ā Bartlett began with Berman and Riedel, ābut briefly, only for a couple of minutes.ā When asked by Riedel about the cocaine found at the White House, Bartlett volunteered, āWe know it was Hunterās, of course, I mean thereās no question about it⦠I watched Karine Jean-Pierre⦠she was asked about it, āOh, itās the Secret Service, weāre gonna let the Secret Service handle itā. Any time they say, āwell, itās not our problemā, itās YOUR problem. They donāt want to have to touch it.ā
Bartlett then easily resumed his familiar role as thorn in Bermanās side when the issue of President Bidenās conduct came up. āThereās a lot of damning evidence; in fact, I am convinced that Joe Biden was profiting by using his cocaine-addicted son, Hunter, as a bagman, and he was taking payoffs. Thereās no doubt in my mind, and if The New York Times or The Washington Post⦠got back to journalism, they would dig into this and find out whatās going on. They donāt want to know.ā
