Len and Michael talked with Mike Thompson, a Professor of TV and Popular Culture at Syracuse University. Professor Thompson discussed Chuck Todd leaving the Sunday morning show, Meet The Press, a show that has been on TV for 76 years. NBC's Kristin Welker will take over for Chuck Todd, making her only the second woman to host the show since the original host Martha Roundtree. Thompson told the guys Jon Stewart was offered the job before Chuck Todd when David Gregory retired but turned it down because the Daily Show was rolling. Thompson said all the Sunday morning shows get too much attention for being so low-rated.
