Arrest Made In Murder Of Sayreville Councilwoman

Prosecutors in New Jersey have announced they’ve arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a councilwoman from Sayreville.

Eunice Dwumfour was shot multiple times and killed while in her car outside her home on February 1st. For nearly four months, authorities seemed to have few leads about who was responsible.

On Tuesday, prosecutors announced the arrest of Rashid Ali Bynum in Virginia. They said that cell phone data and witness testimony put him near the murder scene.

Bynum and Dwumfour reportedly knew each other through church. However, the motive still remains a mystery.
