Jets fans are dreaming about a Super Bowl after reports say the team has traded for star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The Jets will send a series of draft picks to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for the future Hall of Famer, who has won four MVP’s and has been named to the Pro Bowl 10 times.
Rodgers will reportedly wear the number 8 with the Jets, just like he did at Cal. He had a 12 jersey with the Packers, but the Jets have retired that for Joe Namath.
Namath led the Jets to their only championship with the Super Bowl III upset of the Baltimore Colts.Rodgers has already won a Super Bowl title with the Packers and is now hoping to break the more than 50 year drought Jets fans have suffered through.
Rodgers will replace Zach Wilson as the Jets starting quarterback. Wilson was the number two overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but has failed to find success during his first two seasons.
