A small town wants to be known for having the biggest tree.

When the town of Gubbio, Italy, switched on its lights, it became recognized by Guinness World Records as having the World’s Largest Christmas Tree. At 2,460 feet high and 1,476 feet wide, it contains 300 lights stretched across the mountainside lit up with more than five miles of cable.

The lighting ceremony is an annual tradition that dates back to 1981
