A pair of new polls show the election for governor of New York is shaping up to be a close one.
A survey from The Trafalgar Group shows Republican Lee Zeldin with a 48.4 to 47.6 percent lead over Governor Hochul. However, an Emerson College poll shows the governor has a 52 to 44 percent advantage.
An interesting note from the Trafalgar poll: it found that if former Governor Cuomo were the Democratic nominee, he would be leading Zeldin by 10 points.
