Crews worked through the night Tuesday to fill a sinkhole that swallowed part of a Bronx street, including a full size van, but authorities don't believe Monday's stormy weather was a factor.

Bystanders caught the Radcliffe Avenue sinkhole formation on video, as well as the moment the van tumbled into it and disappeared.

The van's owner, Antonio Papadopoulus was on the scene when his vehicle was swallowed into the street. He tells NBC New York that he's taking it pretty well.

"I don't want to be sad or mad or this ... I want to be happy," he said.

Crews will have to rebuild the entire subsurface infrastructure of the street before restoring the roadway, which could take some time. About 75 residents lost water service.

Residents say another sinkhole opened up in the area about a year ago; those repairs took a year.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
