A man identified as Frank James is being sought by police after the subway shooting in Brooklyn on Tuesday.
They said that James rented a U-Haul van in Philadelphia that was found abandoned in the Gravesend section. Keys to that van were found at the crime scene along with the shooter’s belongings.
Ten people were shot and a total of 29 people were injured.
Police said as the “N” subway train was entering the 36th Street station, the gunman opened a smoke canister and then fired at least 33 shots. The handgun was recovered at the scene and it appears to have jammed, possibly saving lives.
