9/11 Attorney: Millions In Compensation Funds Still Unclaimed

Michael Barasch, a lawyer and advocate for 9/11 victims, says there’s still time for people to apply for compensation funds.

“Millions of dollars that the U.S. government has put aside remain unclaimed today,” Barasch told WOR’s “Len Berman and Michael Riedel in the Morning.”

Only 7 and ½ percent of non-first responders have enrolled in the program.

“What’s really just so heartbreaking to me is how many non-responders still don’t realize that they are entitled to the same free health care and compensation for their 9/11 cancers and respiratory illnesses as the firefighters and cops,” Barasch said.
