Yankees fans will have to wait one more day.

Due to the heavy rain forecasted for The Bronx and much of the East Coast on Thursday, the team has postponed Thursday’s Opening Day game against the Boston Red Sox to Friday, April 8 at 1:00 p.m.

The start of the 2022 MLB season was already pushed back by a week because of a labor dispute. The rivalry game between the Red Sox and Yankees was meant to kickoff the highly anticipated season. The Red Sox are set to pay their home opener at Fenway Park against the Minnesota Twins on Friday, April 15 at 2:10 p.m
