22-year-old New York City woman is being accused of holding her online date hostage in her apartment. The date was allegedly tortured and held for a $100,000 ransom.
According to the Post, Valerie Rosario brought home her 24-year-old date to her Bronx apartment. When he got into the apartment he was barged in by three men who allegedly started pistol-whipping him. Then they allegedly "placed him in a bathtub, poured flammable substances on him, and burned him with a flame," according to the charge documents. After alleged hours of torturing him, they demanded $100,000 on a video call to the victim's brother.
NYPD was able to track down one of the men in the room. They found the victim unconscious in the back of a van, according to the criminal complaint.
Rosario was arrested for the alleged crime.
FOX 5 News reached out to Rosario's lawyer for comment: "Ms. Rosario denies all charges that have been leveled against her."
