The Most (And Least) Educated States In The U.S.

We all know that a good education is important, and the more education you have the better chances you’ll have once you get into the job market. Now, it's probably not shocking to find out that some states have a more educated population than others, although which states they are may surprise you, or maybe not 

  • WalletHub just came out with their list of the Most and Least Educated States in the U.S.
  • They judged at all 50 states on 18 factors in areas of educational attainment and quality of education.
  • With that in mind, Massachusetts, which has more colleges than you can count, tops the list as the most educated state in the nation once again, earning a score of 81.82 out of 100.
  • Massachusetts ranks at number one for educational attainment, and three for quality of education.

  • As for the least educated state in the U.S., West Virginia earns that “honor,” with a score of just 23.15, coming in dead last for educational attainment and in the bottom ten for quality of education.
