Krispy Kreme Will Give Blood Donors A Dozen Free Doughnuts

The American Red Cross recently announced they’re dealing with the worst blood shortage in over a decade and that donations are down 10% since March 2020. But Krispy Kreme has a sweet way to pitch in and help.

This week, the doughnut chain will give away a dozen original glazed doughnuts to folks that donate blood to the American Red Cross. January is National Blood Donor Month and anyone who’s willing to roll up a sleeve during the last week of it will get those free doughnuts.

Here’s how it works:

  • Give blood anytime between January 24th and January 31st, then head to your local Krispy Kreme.
  • Show proof of your donation and date with your donor band or sticker or flash your donor app.
  • People who donate to other blood donation organizations will also qualify for the freebies.
  • You can find where to donate blood on Red Cross' website.
