NJ Quarterback Honors Mother With Eight Touchdowns

Alex Brown is a high school quarterback at Red Bank Catholic in Red Bank, New Jersey -- and he recently lost his mother, Michelle, to breast cancer.

Alex calls his mom the “biggest inspiration in my life,” and that inspiration was on display during a big playoff game that featured Alex scoring eight total touchdowns.

The game was played one day after she passed away. Alex explained that his mom always taught him “how to be brave and strong.” And he’s convinced she was watching over him as he threw six touchdown passes and ran for two more.

The performance Alex put on during that game was a special tribute to Michelle, which he was able to demonstrate by pointing to the sky and thanking her for all the guidance she offered, as well as the example she set for him.
