Protest Held In Support Of Kyrie Irving

A group of New Yorkers gathered outside Barclay Center on Sunday night, demonstrating in support of Nets star Kyrie Irving.

“Let Kyrie play,” they chanted before the team’s home opener.

Irving isn’t allowed to play or practice with the team because he’s unvaccinated. A New York City mandate requires a person be vaccinated for many indoor activities, such as events at Barclay Center.

Because of the protest, some fans attending the game weren’t able to get into the arena until after it had already started.
