Nor'Easter Expected To Hit New York Area + New Jersey: What You Should Know

The tri-state area is expecting some strong rain and wind storms through Tuesday this week.

Very heavy rain is coming through the New York area overnight tonight and well into Tuesday. Wind can be up to 50 mph causing heavy concern for early morning commuters. Flash flooding could begin later tonight. New York city and the area around it as West as Sussex County, NJ, East as far as Suffolk County, Long Island as well as North to White Plains should expect up to 4-5'' of rain. NJ has declared a state of emergency. The levels of rain we will see in this area is typically the same as a full months worth of rain.

There is a flash flood warning issued for all of the tri-state area with a wind advisory being issued for parts of Suffolk County Tuesday morning. Please stay safe and keep listening and checking back here for more updates on the storm.
