Attention Upper East Siders: Trader Joe's is set to open this fall under the Queensboro Bridge!

Although it has been vacant for the past 6 years, the Bridgemarket space was home to The Food Emporium for 20 years. After much anticipation, Trader Joe's will officially take over the space this October marking the first Trader Joe's located on the Upper East Side!

According to the Patch, Trader Joe's currently has nine Manhattan locations. Its most recent New York City opening was a new store in Long Island City, Queens with another location coming to Harlem in 2023. This Trader Joe's will occupy this space under the bridge through 2026 with the option to renew until 2036.
