Heinz Starts Petition To Put Equal Number Of Hot Dogs And Buns In Packages

Bothering consumers for years and now will probably have you wondering too.... Why can't you buy the same amount of hot dogs and hot dog buns at once?

Heinz has now started the Heinz Hot Dog Pact, which would ensure that hot dogs and buns would each be sold in packages with the same number. The petition is "calling on big bun and big wiener companies to finally sell buns and wieners in even packs." Hot dogs are usually sold in packs of ten where buns are only sold in packs of eight. "We've seen our fans through social media express their outrage about the bun-to-hot-dog ratio issue for years, and we know there must be a better way. We believe that the time for change is now and we are hopeful," says Daniel Gotlib of the Kraft Heinz Company, " "As the iconic condiment that has been making hot dogs complete for over 150 years, we saw an opportunity to champion this issue on behalf of hot dog lovers across North America and help show manufacturers why they need to put an end to unequal packs."
