Recently an 11-year-old girl from Florida was caught on video fighting off an attempted kidnapper. While she at a bus stop, Alyssa was waiting when a white vehicle stopped and a man jumped out to grab her. "The man got out of his vehicle holding a knife, came towards me and I tried to run, but he caught me," she told TODAY. After giving a fight the man left the scene in the vehicle.
However, there was a major thing that Alyssa did to insure that the police could track down the man. While waiting for the bus Alyssa was mixing paint. She knew that if she got paint on the man it could be used as evidence. "I knew that that might be better evidence if the cops do find him," she said. Alyssa says she watches 'SVU' with her mom and has learned a lot from the show.
Jared Paul Stanga has been charged with attempted kidnapping and aggravated assault and battery with a $1.5 million bond.
"I just feel proud of myself," Alyssa tells TODAY.
