Study: How Many Cups Of Coffee You Should Have In A Day

Researchers at Portugal’s University of Minho say they’ve come up with a definitive range of coffee intake you should aspire to each day for maximum brain function. To come up with it, they studied the brain activity of 31 “regular coffee drinkers” and 24 “non-coffee drinkers.” First, they checked their brain activity while they rested, and then again after that first cup of coffee, and so on. They found “coffee drinkers had a more efficient brain,” and better brain “connectivity. To put a number on it, the study found that the ideal coffee range was between three and five cups a day.
