Singer R. Kelly will be heading to New York City where he awaits trial on sex crimes accusations.
A federal judge approved his transfer out of a Chicago cell to Brooklyn. Kelly is accused of recruiting women and girls for sex. His trial in Brooklyn was delayed because of the pandemic.
Several alleged victims will be testifying in the case where prosecutors say his entourage helped set up the flow of women.
The self-proclaimed “pied piper of R&B” has been in Chicago where he faces a potential second unrelated trial related to sex crimes.
