A married 55-year-old mom from near Rochester in Upstate New York is the latest woman to accuse Governor Andrew Cuomo of sexual misconduct. Sherry Vill says it happened in 2017 inside her Greece, New York home, and during follow up interactions. This brings the total number of women accusing Cuomo of impropriety to eight.
Vill claims Cuomo forcibly kissed her on both cheeks and acted in a flirtatious manner, before later having his office call her and invite her alone to an event. Attorney Gloria Allred showed photos of Cuomo kissing Vill's cheek and the alleged victim says she was afraid of retribution if she came forward.
Cuomo's attorney Rita Glavin, who has previously described Cuomo as simply being “old fashioned,” says Vill describes behavior that's typical of Cuomo, such as the kissing of cheeks. Glavin says Cuomo's staff routinely contact people for invites to other events following meetings, also explaining a letter sent to Vill's home as boilerplate and typical follow-up.
