Manhattan is getting its first-ever Sonic.
The burger spot is coming to Manhattan, and no this location of America's Drive-In will NOT be an actual drive-in. Now that mid-town Manhattan is opening up a bit more, the national chain is planning to be set up right to the middle of the city!
Although this is not the first location for Sonic in NYC (the first location of Sonic in the city is at a Staten Island location), this will be the first for the Manhattan island. First reported by The Real Deal, the Manhattan location will take over a former Pax Wholesome Foods that was at 966 Sixth Avenue between West 35th and West 36th. It is only a couple blocks north of Herald Square close to Bryant Park!
Sonic has 17 restaurants across New York state and is looking to expand even more! Including this upcoming location, the restaurant chain is looking to open 1,000 more spots in this decade.
