When you think of singles looking for love you often think of twentysomethings, but young people aren’t the only ones looking for a mate. And according to a new report, if you are an older person trying to find a match, you may do better in some cities more than others.
- In case you missed it, AARP recently came out with their picks for the Best Cities for Older Singles.
- They made their picks based on a “livability index” that looked at a city’s overall population of those 65 and older, a city’s size, location and access to healthcare facilities.
- Topping the list is Madison, Wisconsin, with a livability index of 66, which earns high marks for its retirement communities, even though it has a rather small senior population of just over 28,000.
- Madison also earned high marks for neighborhood, civic and social engagement and health.
