Restaurant Owner Tries To Torch Business But Forgot He Installed Cameras

A New York City restaurant owner, shut down due to COVID-19, tried a desperate move to save his money.

Asif Raja is under arrest for trying to burn down his business. He didn’t really think it through, which is why Raja got caught. He allegedly lit fires in several spots in the building. The sprinkler system he had installed knocked the flames down though.

And… all the action was caught on the surveillance cameras he had installed. He thwarted his own crime!

Raja is looking at five to 20 years in prison.
