About one million people remain without power in the tri-state area on Thursday, many of them in New Jersey.
“For some residents, we know that restoration may take some time, counting in days instead of hours,” Governor Phil Murphy said.
Some residents have been given a restoration time of early next week.
The legacy of this storm is going to be power outages,” Murphy said.
At the height of the storm, nearly 3 million people in the tri-state area lost power.
