Bees Swarm On Towel At NJ Beach

The buzz on a Jersey Shore beach Tuesday was due to a Queen in the area.

Thousands of bees settled on a woman's beach towel in Cape May, New Jersey this week, with the swarm reportedly following a Queen bee. She chose the towel and the rest followed.

Crowds of beachgoers kept their distance as a beekeeper arrived on scene an hour later to safely capture the insects. It took him 15 minutes to get them all in a box. The bees weren’t aggressive because they were full of honey. The insects were put into empty hives.
