9/11 Memorial Reopens

The 9/11 Memorial is back open in Lower Manhattan.

It reopened Saturday first to 9/11 family members and workers on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic before letting the general public in yesterday. The memorial, closed due to the health crisis since early March, has new operational hours and safeguards in place including deep cleanings, maintaining social distancing, and requiring visitors and employees to wear masks.

The nearby 9-11 Memorial Museum, which houses artifacts and exhibitions, remains closed. Social distancing guidelines are in place for visitors.
