New York Public Library Lion Statues Are Wearing Masks

New York Public Library Lion Statues Are Wearing Masks - The New York Public Library in Manhattan is sending a big message.

The two iconic lion statues that “guard” the building are both wearing face masks. Patience and Fortitude (their names) were given the three foot by two foot masks earlier this week… and yes they fit nicely over the noses.

The library explains that as new York opens, they want to remind everyone to follow CDC guidelines. The statues have been in place since 1911.
