A teen saved his eight-year-old brother when he went into cardiac arrest at their home in Queens, New York. Jayden Hardowar had what doctors now say was a coronavirus-related condition and collapsed. Tyron, his 15-year-old brother, performed CPR he learned as a Boy Scout and kept Jayden alive until first responders arrived.
EMTs used a defibrillator to revive him and he was taken to the hospital, where he stayed for two weeks. Jayden is now back at home and recovering and he’s tested negative for coronavirus, but positive to antibodies.
“Once I saw him take a deep breath I was, like, ‘I'm doing something right,’” big brother Tyron explains. “I'm very happy that, you know, I made an impact on his life.”
